1978 360/12 advise please
I have just stumbled across a 1978 360/12 FG for sale and I think I may well go for it
, kinda completes (for the time being) the collection. My other Rickenbackers are all six string, so what do I need to look for, be aware of, was it a good year etc...all hints and tips gratefully received

Certainly not very common during this time period. We'd love to see some pictures.
Re: 1978 360/12 advise please
neck angle versus bridge adjustment is your number 1 concern. if it can't be setup properly with neck adjustment and bridge adjustment to optimal playable situation it is A big problem. if the bridge can't go any lower and the neck is straight and the action is still too high it is likely it is neck reset candidate. the condition of the frets is the number 2 to look at. those are two most expensive repairs....than number 3 binding around the body and fingerboard - is it intact? chipped? separated?...cracks in tailpiece is the 4...etc..

Thanks all, I had a good lookover it yesterday and it's sound, with toasters too! But it never rains etc, I've now heard of a 360/12CW FG for a similar price, what a puzzle!

If that's true, and all other things being equal, jump on the CW. It's a no-brainer.

Hopefully secure the CW this evening, very excited, will let you know, but still no vintage Ricenbacker as my oldest is 1986
