This is my favorite Paul McCartney/Beatles bass book. There aren't that many transcriptions, but there is a good bit of discussion about style and approach and there are a quite a few phrases in the write up. The transcriptions are great and focus mainly on Rubber Soul and Revolver with a couple of other bits represented (Dear Prudence and Lovely Rita come to mind). There are a couple of things I don't agree with in the write up (I don't think McCartney played all the lines credited to him there), but it is a really good book to own. Much better, in my opinion, than this one I also bought (online) and then gave away after flipping through it http://www.amazon.com/Beatles-Bass-Sign ... 50&sr=8-11

Great tool to have; worth the money, IMHO.

How is "Rain"? Very accurate? I have The Beatles "Complete Scores" and it DOESN'T seem to have it down 100%(A lot can be said about about most of the book).

I haven't really sat down with Rain, but it "looks" good on a glance. I guess I need to try it out!

I also bought it on the recommendation of this thread :)
The text is pretty interesting. I haven't had a chance to sit down and study it closely along with the records yet, but I do notice that their transcription of the "Come Together" riff is not the same as I've always seen (and heard) it... :o

I don't agree with that transcription, but that is the only transcription in there that I have found I don't agree with. The tab portion of "You Won't See Me" has a lot of position switching for the same notes, too, but it is fun to play that way.
