This guitar got traded in at my friends store today but was was sold before I got there.

Was it traded in at Willie's in St. Paul?

If so, a few years ago I had the opportunity to buy an old Rick bass of Tommy's.
A Coulda, woulda, shoulda situation i still regret.

I know how you feel. Paul Westerberg sold his Rick to Jim Harms when Jim opened his store around 1999. Jim it to a customer who sold it back to him a couple of days ago and yesterday it sold 2 hour before I came to the shop.
