Lost/stolen Rickenbacker 330/12 FG

Post by Doron »

Hi everyone,
I'm writing to inform of a lost/stolen Rickenbacker guitar that I own.
The Rickenbacker 330/12-FG was left accidentally by a friend on the taxi at Newark airport NY on April 3rd, and yet to be returned.
I opened a file at the lost and found 311 center in New York, now I can only hope that the taxi driver will bring it back. I also tried calling police stations around New York which gets lost property in cabs, but unfortunately nothing is there.
I guess I'll be waiting a couple of days before I register the guitar as a stolen one here in the forum.
Does anybody have experience with a similar case or any advise?
Thanks a lot
Doron

Sorry to hear the bad news, Doron.

If you know the serial number, then you should enter it into the Register as a stolen instrument, that way if it shows up for sale somewhere there is a chance that it can be recovered.

Don't forget to add it to the register... It serves as proof of ownership - if it ever gets lost again...
