Welcome, David!

I echo Rich's recommendation to join us for the Mini-Con.

The Mini-Con looks fun! Since I don't have a Ric (yet), can I bring this instead?

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Well, you will probably want to keep a photo of that Tele (?) as a rembrance or keepsake, from when you sell it to fund your R.A.S. :!:

Today was a very good day. The only downside is that my wife is going to make me wait a month until my birthday to enjoy what happened today.

Get the hint?

She probably knows that if she gives you your new present (starts with R and ends with R) that you will only buy another one a month or so from now!

Hope she'll let you "test" the present out, a little early, at the Mini Con Ricken Jam on Saturday, May 8th :D :D :D

It's very important to her that it feels like a surprise so I'll play along. In order to take it on the 8th, I would want to clean and polish it, re-string it, set it up - in other words play it and play with it.

I'll wait, they'll be plenty of other times to show it off.

Hello from a newer new guy. I'm looking at buying a Rickenbacker as well, and I've never owned one before. Played the hell out of my fender jazz, maybe been a little mean to it at times, she's got some serious dings, but that's all in the past. Hoping I can find a nice Rickenbacker that I'll actually be nice to this time!
