Well, there are many people who can't get one from Music123 at any price. Being a North American dealer, they are not allowed to ship outside of North America. The ebay seller offers world wide shipping, so someone in another country might well pay that price just to get it. And even with shipping, it may not be much more than getting one locally, assuming they could even find one...

Pithespy's prices have actually come down since last year. This seller hopes to get bites from potential buyers outside of North America.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I was just sitting here killing time, as I go into an assisted living facility to entertain at 2:30pm and I noticed these Pedulla bass guitars. Wow! Very pricey. They must be quite the axe!

That's nothing compared to this ebay seller of Rickenbacker straps.

You can buy one from RIC for $35 http://www.rickenbacker.com/cart.asp?vi ... ccessories

Or get the same item here for $70! http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Rickenbacker-BL ... 674wt_1040

I know P.T. Barnum has been erroneously associated with the quote, but there truly is a sucker born every minute.
"We were getting quite famous—obviously once we got to America we were quite famous—and Mr. Rickenbacker kind of arrived and said, Paul, we have a bass. Oh, great! Freebie. Thank you very much."

-Paul McCartney.

It's amazing how often you'll see things on ebay going for quite a bit more than the price in the RIC boutique. But here again, the boutique is only available to people in North America, so sellers who will ship world wide can often get the "ridiculous" prices they want. And even then, those prices are often less than what someone outside North America would have to pay at a local dealer...
