Matchbox - 360/12 OS or Gent 2 (for the rhythm, as John played lead on his '64 325/6)

Ibelieve it was the Tenny on both songs. Matchbox was recorded on June 1st, 1964, the same day as I'll Cry Instead, Slow Down and I'll Be Back. As George didn't use the twelve string on any of these other recordings, it's doubtful he used it on Matchbox. Besides, it doesn't sound like a twelve. George acquired the Tenny during the Beatles' 63-64 Christmas shows, and used it a lot for recordings in 1964 and 1965.

to me: George played his new 12string and John played his new 325/Miami.
John played the *Carl Perkins part" (Intro, rhythm, solo), George played the rhythm figure.

Since this thread has been dormant for awhile, I would to revive it to ask a broader question about which songs George played a 360/12 on. The thread reminded me of one I once came across that was posted on the Ric company forum back in 2006 in which a member named Matt listed the following songs:

DId George play the 360/12 on Dizzy Miss Lizzy or was it double tracked? Are there other songs to add to the list?

It started with Can't buy me love. I forgot What You're doing.

Wolfgang: I did try the search function here but didn't see a previous list, so posted this one. I'll look again. At Shea, George is playing the Tenny, but was it double tracked in the studio? On the other forum it was said that the 12 was not used on Can't Buy Me Love but a 6 double tracked. What's the view here? There was also a discussion of Nowhere Man having been recorded not with a 12 but with George and John playing the same color (blue, as I recall) Strats together. The surprise for me is how famous the 360/12 became with the Beatles from George having played it on relatively few songs.

And: the volume pedal guitar on "I need you" is the Rickenbacker 12-string.
(from "Recording the Beatles").
If this is so, then it's probably true for "Yes it is" as well."

now to your other questions:
Nowere man:
Some say it was George and John unison,
other say (with reference to George Harrison himself: he could not remember playing it unison with John) it was double tracked by George.
On the sonic blue Stratocaster(s).
The last notes are not in unison, one guitar slides down to E on the 6th string, the other guitar
(George) waits to play the e-flageolet note on the 1st string, 5th fret.

double tracked Stratocaster.
