What delivery date did the dealer give you when you ordered it?

I have a 4003FL in MB on order. I ordered it in Jan 04. I'm a little worried they are going to come back and say they have run out of the MB paint or tell me they can no longer use that color or something. I got the order in while they were still taking MB orders. I've heard they will only make fretless basses only after they have a certain amount on order. I was hoping to get it by August to use for a solo gig, but I'm not sure it is going to happen. I guess I'll be using my old Carvin fretless for awhile yet.

Rick,
I wish I could get an S model fretless in Montezuma Brown. I ordered my '81 4001s/fl in the similar '70s/'80s Walnut but I could only get it in Mapleglo. No regrets though.
Cheers,
Bill

Joe: If I were you I would be tearing my hair out.

Have they given you any idea how much longer it will take?

Why does it take so long to fill an order? I would consider ordering one, but for now I'm scouring the country for what I would like. I guess waiting is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing in knowing a small company is putting together a nice hand-made product... the curse is in the waiting for it.

Robert, unfortunately there is no known time frame to the arrival of the bass that I ordered.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I am a happy man

I have just heard that the 4003 fretless (mapleglo) I ordered last October has just arrived in the country and should be with me next week. While I was on the phone to the dealer I also ordered a 4003 (also mapleglo) fretted which should come at the same time (no 9 month wait!!)

That might mean they kicked-out a bunch of FL's and mine might be coming as well. Not getting my hopes up though.

How does the manufacturing process go? Do they work on a certain number of one model and then move on? Or do they pruduce each model as it's ordered?

I'm just curious.
