iPod Beatle Mystery

Post by electrofaro »

I got my iPod connected through a 3,5 mm connector cable to my navigation system of my car.

Every song it plays in stereo... except when it comes to the Beatles, then suddenly it goes mono and only plays from the right side of the car.
I switch to any other band, like the Jam, the Byrds or the Who and there's stereo.

I switch back to Beatles and there it is again... one sided stereo...

When I listen to my iPod on headphones it does do stereo Beatles. Just not when connected in the car.
I never have encountered anything this weird!

Your car stereo either hates you or the Beatles.

I've always thought to find the Beatles more on the left side btw.

I've had the same problem, but mine is only playing out of the other speaker. :D

A guess; a lot of Beatles stuff is in mono and maybe that is fooling the nav audio system into just playing one channel.

Well, I'd rather get my Mono Masters from both sides of the car - like they do on headphones.

I'm heading out to get some strings - I'll see if I can find another artist who's being censured as well
