Missing fret marker

I just noticed this on a Ric 330 I just picked up(my first Ric). The fret marker at the 21st fret is missing. This seems to be true of all the Ric models. Fender, Gibson, PRS, Guild, etc. all have a marker at this fret. Any comments on why it is missing on the Ric?

My Guild X-160 and Gretsch Country Club both do NOT have a 21st marker. Some company's have 'em, some don't. Now my Rick 360v64 does not have a first fret marker, but the Getsch and Guild do. Of course, it's easy to find the first fret.

As far as I've seen, neither the 21-fret nor the later 24-fret Ricks have a 21st fret marker. But with the company's tendency to churn out the occasional anomalous guitar I'd bet there's at least a couple out there with an extra dot or shark's tooth.

Chris, apparently you have never seen a model 430:

I think this is the only RIC model I've seen with markers on the 24th fret.

Gary: Perhaps it is too early in the morning for me, or perhaps I have misread. To my way of thinking, however, there are many RIC models with dot markers at the 24th fret. Some that come to mind include 330, 330/12, 340, 340/12, 350, 380L, 650.

Peter, I think you're right about the too-early-in-the-morning thing. After re-reading the posts, the issue was the lack of markers on the 21st fret, not the 24th fret. Mea culpa!
