Garage From Spain

Post by kenposurf »

A result of the pairing of two bands, Los Sonor and The Runaways. Los Bravos' lead singer, Mike Kogel, was from Germany...sounded a lot like Gene Pitney

Raul Malo was the guest vocalist on Los Straitjackets vocal version of "Black Is Black". I must say he was a perfect choice. One of the great voices today.

Los Straitjackets did a cd awhile back called Rock En Espanol produced by Cesar Rosas who added some vocals along with Big Sandy and Little Willie G.

I saw L. S. "with vocals" 3 times with guest vocalists:
1. Big Sandy
2. Kaiser George
3: El Vez

Big Sandy was by far the best.
I still would rather see Los Straitjackets alone playing instrumentals.

I don't know Skip..the YT vid says Los Straitjackets and a poster states the singer is Raul Malo from The Mavricks, but it sounds dead on Los Bravos...I'm not sure it's not :?
