Re: Lets see your Grain & Flame
Call me a freak but I just recently picked myself out a new 330 MG from a choice of three (from photos only) and I made sure I chose the plainest possible wood grain pattern.
Not a fan of maple flame at all. The plainer the better for me.

Here's a group shot, with a couple of less flamey ones thrown in for good measure:
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: Lets see your Grain & Flame
I saw this in the bass section, where I sometimes lurk
Congratulations on a stunning new bass!

Here's the moderately flamey top on my '68 365OS MG
and the backside is the flamiest mid 60's OS i've ever seen.
I've seen a number of really nicely figured wood in 1968 (birdseye, flame etc...) I think they had a fresh batch of great lumber that year.

That's not the same MG from before, that had the pickguard converted from a comb model before is it ?

Nah, not the same guitar. I sold the 366/12 to a forumite. This is an original OS.
