JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: San Francisco Bay Area Confluence ?
OK, so I went around to Spectrum and chatted with a nice fellow named Thomas. Schedule's clear for the end of July if we want it. There are two rooms of about 300 sq. ft. with PAs and a drum kit is available to rent. Rates are 15$ an hour plus 15$ for the PA and another 15$ for the drums, per room. We could have both rooms if we want. I told Thomas what we are about and promised some Beatle music and he thought that was great. He might even be available for drum duty.
I told him to pencil us in for one of the last two Sundays in July, and promised to get back to him by the end of the week with our consensus on the date, and whether or not that suits everybody. We can book up to three or four weeks ahead of time but it would be good to settle it as soon as possible. We're thinking of noon to 8 PM, I guess. So everybody pipe in and we'll see if it's a go for July.
I also told him if July falls through for us that we might be doing it in late September or October, but I think July will give us a long, warm, sunlit day to enjoy our get-together. It's up to you all.
I took a few pics of the two rooms which I will be posting for your perusal. You can also visit their website (I posted a link here a few days ago). The decor is funky industrial and rooms are dimly lit so if we want fancy lights we'll have to bring them ourselves. There are bathrooms and parking should be easy enough for us, especially on a Sunday.
As a reminder, Paul W has offered to host a pre-jam bruncheon at his house which is about 10 minutes from the studios.
I'm really looking forward to this.

Here are a few pics of the rooms. They are both in the 15' by 20' range in size. There's also a lobby area where folks can hang out.

Thanks to Kira, this will become a reality !!!!!
Re: San Francisco Bay Area Confluence ?
Thanks, Gary, but which of the last two Sundays in July is better for you, if at all? I need input!

Does it have to be a Sunday? Saturdays are much better for me... Don't change it for me of course, but if Saturdays are a possibility I would be very happy!
Re: San Francisco Bay Area Confluence ?
No, nothing is written in stone yet. If Saturday is better for the consensus then we'll make it for a Saturday.

Either week-end Kira, I'm really looking forward to meeting my internet Rick-O-Pals
I promise, no flaking out this time, I have the summer open except for the last two weeks in July.
Hope the SoCall people can make it up to the Bay Area as well.
Again, many thanks for your efforts in bringing this confluence together...
Oh wow, I'd better start re-stringing the 360/12v64 and 355JL !

Is July not good for you, Gary? What's your schedule look like?

Re: San Francisco Bay Area Confluence ?
Nice work Kira!
Any of those Saturdays are probably good for me. Coming up from Southern California, Sundays would be harder because I'd have to leave early to make it home for work on Monday..............but that's me.
Let's see what the others have to say
