This may be old hat to all you bass players, but I had never seen one of these before.....

Petty has a Mapleglo, got it from Gil Southworth a few years back.

I bet they're totally hip.

I think Paul W. was pointing out that the 4005/6 leftie is probably one of a kind.

Gil Southworth. Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Used to browse his store on MacArthur Blvd in DC way back when.

I had a 4005/6, I believe it was a '67- I wonder if the one pictured was mine? Sold it about 11 years ago to somebody in the San Diego area if memory serves for a very good price (this is before I really knew what they were worth!). It was cool but definitely not for me.
