Humour aside, if we can keep a lid on the provocative and political comments we can leave this thread stand. Please work with us on this. My remarks are pointed towards those of you who wish to make comments on Sir Paul receiving this award.

"Fixing a Hole" would probably seem the most appropriate at present. "Michelle" would always be well received, and, for the rest of us trying to make the world a better place, "We Can Work it Out".

I find it interesting that we now have a U.S. President who wasn't even born when the Beatles started out and probably has little memory of them while they were still together...

Of course, we now have a president who's about the same age as my "baby" brother...
I guess I'm gettin' old...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I still can't get over the irony of four Englishmen exporting back to the USA our own music, rock 'n' roll, and doing it so very, very well. But I'm glad they did!

For some reason I'd love to know what Lennon's reaction to this would've been.

I'm sure he would've delivered a dry, witty one-liner,......any ideas?
