340 FG on the bay

Post by los_sentidos »

Hiya,

I'm a regular user in the bass section but the guitarist in my band is interested in this guitar here:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41439&item=3734766289&rd=1

Just wondering if any people have an idea of what would be a good price for this and is it a good guitar even though the bridge has been changed etc?

Cheers for your help

Hi Ronan - I think the buy-it-now price of $850 is pretty fair for that guitar. Looks like it's been relatively well looked after for its age, and the Bigsby's a cool addition IMHO. While I can't comment on the performance of a Bigsby on a Rick, I have owned a 340 6-string for 10 years now and it's a fantastic guitar - comfortable, great tone, wide variety of sounds....I'd bet your guitarist would not be disappointed with this model!
Good luck,
Chris

Thanks Chris!

It's a lovely guitar and would look cool on stage with my Montezuma 4003!

Ronn, could you let me know where you picked this up from as I'm in the UK and that's a great price, I'm sure with shipping etc.. it would still be cheaper than buying one here!
