Yep, the new one is going to come out some day, but may not be until the end of the year. They've been abuzz about it over at the Orange forum.

Well that does look interesting, Ken! It is indeed tiny at 5 kg. I'd give one a try. The Orange website says that it's 500w though...unless they have a new one coming out.

I just picked up a ticket for their July 3rd show. Perhaps he'll literally honor the title of the tour (Time Machine) and bring out the Ric.

I saw RUSH in "Chi" town back in around Exit Stage Left era early 80's I guess----> don't remember much of the 80's

He had all the toys out that night Moog Snyth, bass pedals, both Rics the 4001 and the 4080 dbl neck was awsome to see him and his craft.

That's an awesome picture of Geddy with the synths - Moog & Rickenbacker - two great American companies!

I must have missed something. Where does it say that?

I just recently tried the Terror Bass as a possible replacement for my SVT III. The Ampeg won hands down in about 5 minutes. The Orange is really great at one thing - vintage dirt. I dig it. It reminds me of my old V-4B, but I couldn't get a nice punch to go with the snarl like my other Ampegs. It WOULD be great for the dirty half of a Rick O Sound setup.

Hmm, busting out the Ric... My gut feeling says it won't happen, but I hope I'm wrong. The center piece of the tour is the Moving Pictures LP, which was almost all Jazz Bass. Guess I'll find out July 5th! And BTW - the 2 new tunes are SMOKIN!

I have the new 2x10 cab that I use with my Markbass head...Love Love Love it. I've never tried the amps, but I'm not going for heavy tube heads until I have roadies

People kinda laugh when they see my rig...but always compliment the sound after a show. I've never been as happy with my sound as I am now.

It's not in the article on the Orange website (at least that I can see), but Wikipedia has listed this:

"For Rush's 2010 tour, Lee will be using 2 x Orange AD200 bass heads together with 2 x OBC410 4x10”Bass Cabinets."

That's too bad. Vintage dirt is cool when you want it, but it's nice to be able to choose between dirt and clean. Only having dirt is not acceptable to me.
