15 year anniversary

Post by blueflamerick »

Bought my 1st Rickenbacker, the blue flame 4001, 15 years ago yesterday (06/06/1995) for a whopping $528.94. I'd post a pic of the receipt if I could find the power supply to my scanner.

Congrats!

It's been a long time for me and my first Rick as well.

Sometimes I think I should just make it official and get a tattoo of it on my arm or something, 'cuz it's my oldest surviving toy at this point!

(Well, besides a Hot Wheels car or two!)

You got a good deal, Erik. I paid $600 for my 320 - a little over 27 years ago. Still got it, too. :) Feels like part of the family after that long, eh? 8)

I suppose I'm coming up on that anniversary as well - 14 yrs ago (to the month) I paid $800 for my first Rick, a '91 360/12 FG, in almost mint condition, just one little teeny scratch.

Geez, the end of July 31 will be 29 years since I got my first Rick, a new '81 4001 JG.
Would you believe I was only one year old when I got it?

One year old??? Well, let's see, I can't remember the exact date, but it was in 1979, spring, so that makes it what, 31 years? A '74 4001 Mapleglo! Huh, ya know what? I wasn't even born yet!!!

I got my first 4001 28 years ago in May of 1982.

I was 15 then, I'm 18 now.

Yes, my friends...I've been 18 for 25 years!
