*gasp* River to River Festival? Last time I saw Hackett, it was in a rather dinky bar in Upstate NY. I never got to see Renaissance ( did I spell it correctly?) yet although I liked Annie Haslam. I have an excuse to go to R2R this year.

I saw Renaissance in '79 in a theatre in the round, during the Azure D'Or tour. LAst time I saw Hackett was a t a small theater in Kent, Ohio with his brother, John.

i can understand that-a lot of folks feel the same way about the current state of yes.....i went to see them last year in nashville at the opry house, and as much as i love jon anderson,i still thought it was one of the best yes shows i had ever been to-partly because of the set list, but the new musicians were very good,so it was still quite enjoyable. i am just a tiny bit disappointed that the hackett tour is not with chris as hinted at last year-i would really like to see the 2 of them make some music together.

To me, Jon Camp wass at least half of the main ingredients in Renaissance. No JC, so I can't see this being a "Renaissance" tour.

Here in NYC its going to be a free event at Rockefeller Park so I have nothing to loose by going. Hackett should be good. I simply don't know what to expect from Renaissance though.

It would be like the velvet glove without the iron fist inside, however it may lead to a proper reunion...
