I see what you mean Jason. I certainly know people who can do some designs for me. I would never feel comfortable putting any of my own work on a pickguard, let alone on a bass.

Wow, a surface-mounted Toaster(?) between the bridge and the standard treble pickup? Hell, there's room for three or four more pickups on that bass, isn't there?

Actually that's a current bass neck high gain that's recessed into the body. The other two pickups on the bass are current bridge and neck high gains as well in the usual positions.

I love the look of that PG, Paul. I feel a "Scott Stulken Limited Edition" 330 coming on.

While we're talking pickguards, would a golden-amber guard like Paul's look okay on an AFG, or would I be better off sticking to white?

I agree with you, yet I'm torn about it. The white-on-red contrast is very stark (I like that...).

If I did any sort of Celtic knotwork design on the guard I think white or gold would be appropriate, but perhaps gold slightly moreso.

If ya can't get a gold truss rod cover or at least paint yours gold, it won't look right. I prefer white on amber fireglo though.

Not an issue if I go with Pickguardian, because Tony can paint the TRC.
