I reported it as a fraudulent listing. Thanks for the raykit link. Here are the pics used in the ad!

I've only just twigged about the graphics rendering thing. Crikey! :o

I'm sure that the raykit guy has no connection with the ebay scam. I've emailed him to let him know that his images are being used for a fraudulent listing.

The whole thing is so bizarre - I mean, if you're a scammer, why use pictures of an "imaginary" 4003 when you could just use pics of a real one?

This is disheartening. Really. How awful and sinister. I'm sorry this sort of thing happens, and that unsuspecting folks get suckered.

The seller did not include a picture of the neck heel, which would have been one of the faker differences that would be easiest to spot.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Just a li'l follow-up to this story...

This morning I checked my emails and found this message in my Inbox:

Hello Ken,

Thank you for informing me about this incident and I greatly appreciate your concern.

I haven't checked my emails recently so I didn't get the opportunity to also report to this seller since eBay have already taken action from your report (thanks again).

I'm surprised someone would actually use my images to sell a product on eBay, out of so many images on the net of the real thing, this person decided to use my computer generated images and was also dumb enough to leave my watermark in.

I hope this seller will be banned from using eBay. You must have a good eye for spotting something wasn't right or perhaps my 3d images aren't quite realistic enough :)

Anyway, since you were looking at Rickenbackers on eBay, I'm guessing you're thinking of purchasing one? then I hope you find the right one from a genuine seller, best of luck!

I'll bet he could "build" you one, Pete. But then he'd have to build a "Pete" to play it!
