Reportedly there were only 5 4005 LSs ever made.

Only cool because they're so rare. Not my cuppa. I can't imagine any occasion when I would want to be seen playing one.

It seems inevitable, given the premise of a light-up instrument, that there's be a bass. Nothing badly designed about it. It's just a question of whether it's for one, personally. I find them funny and fascinating and quirky, just like me. :)

I agree; life is short. No time for gimmicks.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?

"It's dated, and terribly over the top. Kitsch, and lovely for all that." Quoted from Paul, for me sums it up.

The 4005 LS bass is cool, but I'd really rather have a 4003 modified into a LS instrument, if I desired one.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I'd rock it. But then again, I'm a bass whore.

I would like a light up bass...but it doesn't have to be a Ric.

It's a cool novelty thing.

It's not something that I must own, but I appreciate it for what it is.

Would I personally want to play a bass that glows in different colors for different notes? Not so much.

I sure would have liked to see John Entwistle play his though!

You don't have to like it but they are simply funky! A waterstone would do me if they get the price down a bit....
