I recently won an eBay auction for a model year 1996 RIC 381/12 V69. The original owner never played this instrument...just kept it in a display case. So, it's basically a "New Old Stock" guitar that's in mint, pristine condition. I was particularly intrigued by the unique pattern of the wood grain...not the typical birdseye or flame pattern usually seen on 381's. I just couldn't resist. This flagship model plays and sounds terrific.
P.S. Take a picture in the sun ... the depth of the figuring/tigering/flame will be even more unbelievable (I know, it doesn't seem possible ... but my 730L MG is that way!).
