Really surprised they are showing it on DVD BEFORE the DVD is out. I heard June 28 for the DVD release, am I wrong?

June 29th. Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I picked up my Blu-ray copy on Friday from my local music store. They like me there for some reason and always call prior to release date when I special order a movie. Watched it Friday night. The bonus features include the first live version of Working Man. Killer!

Yes - agreed. I've seen it twice now. I'm not their biggest fan - but they certainly deserve a lot of credit for their body of work. Interesting getting the insight into Neil Peart's psyche.

I watched this to learn more about their history and it is quite a good movie. I always thought they were super popular, I had no idea they would have just hung it up if 2112 flopped, nor did I know that NP wrote the lyrics... or was their 2nd drummer for that matter.

I watched Beyond the Lighted Stage last night with two people who do not like Rush. We all thought it was a great movie. It is a good balance of documentary and music. This is not a concert movie, rather it tells the story of the band through interviews and some really cool concert footage. I would like to get some of those concerts on DVD.

I haven't listened to much Rush in the past 25 years. When they entered keyboard period we broke up. After watching the movie it looks like we might get back together.

Tom Petty's Running Down A Dreamis very much in the same vein, another excellent DVD.

I have watched this DVD 50 times so far. Many current musicians admit that they owe a lot to these guys. they broke the mold for prog hard rock. I have been a Rush nerd since 1975. and pround of it. my old band played 15 RUSH tunes. I love everyone of those songs.

I watched the RUSH movie with my 30 year-old (drummer) son. We kept it saved on the DVR for a long time! He was very impressed. As was I! Like one earlier poster said, I moved away from RUSH during their 90's period. But some of their recent stuff might be interesting and closer to the earlier stuff.

I caught about half the Tom Petty show on cable - would like to see the whole thing.

Bought the DVD yesterday and couldn't resist the urge to go home right away and watch it. I am a sucker for these type of documentaries. Should be shown to all high schoolers to prove being different is cool.

been following rush since '75 with "fly by night". going to see the movie tomorrow evening. will be a refresher course for me.

Bought it and watched it with my Wife the other night. I loved it

I felt like I was in high school again, smiled the whole time. I was one of those kids that used to draw the red stars from 2112 on everything and write out the lyrics to their songs on the covers of my notebooks. They lost me after Signals but, after the movie and seeing some of their later, less keyboardy stuff, they could get me back.

My Wife (who was never a Rush fan) thought it was great too.

Finally, Rush getting some public respect for their influence on so many.

I cannot recommend this highly enough.
