Hey, Shelly,
Yes, I'm San Francisco born and raised, then moved up to Marin ten years ago after living in Europe for a while. Don't get me started about the old days

, so many great times we had, cool people and great stories. I never saw Janis live (just a wee bit too young) but was blessed to see just about everybody who played the area after 1971.
Consultant, in my case, just means they drafted me to keep me out of trouble.

I'm here a lot and I care about what goes on, that's about all. No special technical prowess either, just a love of playing these great guitars since about '72 when I got my first one, a really beat-up old Combo model. Wish I still had it. I do still have my second, a 320 that I bought new in 1982.
I've been to HI, found it beautiful but got island fever and returned after some months. Best of luck to you and I hope you like it here on the forum.

E Kyra, Cool to hear from you. I'm Marin born & raised. I'm really lovin RRF. Such great info & interesting discussions w/ lots of witty humor. WNTL?
So you had an old combo? Like from the 50's? Now that's a hip first guitar! A kid who lived down the street from me got a new maple Ric in the late 60's. it may have been a 320. I'm not sure if he ever let me play it... or even touch it. I wasn't playing electrics yet. If he shows up at the HS reunion in Sept I'll ask him if he still has it. Looking forward to visiting Bay Area but no island fever here. I love living on an island. It helps that I surf. Maui is great. 2 film festivals a year. A world class theater which they say has the best acoustics west of the Mississippi. Lots of music happening here. Sometimes opportunities to see Willie Nelson or Prince in a small club. Now I know what Prince sprays on his fingerboard when he plays. Rose oil.
Thanx for your welcome. You are the first wahine that I have met here. I'm sure there are others. Stay
