Hi all, i was wondering about why Rick is selling a righty and lefty version of the 4000 series bridge

... aren't they supposed to be the same bridge with swapped saddles, or (probably) am i missing something ? :?:

Most likely so the purchaser does not have to take it apart and swap things around.

It seems to me that, with the way their tailpiece is designed, it WOULDN'T matter if it was on a righty OR lefty bass. It's the Bridge that would have to be set up for however the player needs it.

By the way.......I am looking for a 4001 tailpiece---70's era...if ANYONE here has one!!!!

Greg, have you posted that in the Rickenbacker Wanted section?

Some of you ever tried a non-genuine replacement ? - for example this :

http://cgi.ebay.it/Bridge-and-Tailpiece ... 4cefd4bf76

are they so different than the real deal (sound-wise) ?

I know it's not the best to talk here about non genuine replacements but original rick bridge w saddless it's very expensive and cost more than that entire replacement
