Newbie from Loudoun County, VA here!

Post by Mike Duncan »

Hello from Northrern Virginia!

My name is Mike Duncan and have been Rickenbackered since June of 1991. My parents and grandparents were kind enough to purchase me a 360/12 for my high school graduation gift. I had access to a MG Roger McGuinn and the shop owner down in Virginia Beach (my real home) decided to hold on to his two that he had in stock! RATS! Luckily, being obsessed with The Byrds, the Beatles, and REM - my JG 360/12 was the perfect match! I think I was the only kid in high school that met Roger McGuinn and got his autograph during the "Back from Rio" time...no hair bands for me!

Anyway - very cool site and I'm very happy to be here!!

Here's H3/6248....

Hi Mike...I'm sure a lot of us are jazzed to hear from a young man like yourself who is into The Byrds, Beatles, etc, and not the usual "music" most young guys usually listen to. This is a great forum, populated by great people, who love to talk guitars and help out with questions you might have. Please feel free to ask anything you need to know.

Any and all Rickenbacker questions can be answered here.

BTW, I went to college and lived in Lynchburg for four years, and my parents retired to Richmond. Virginia is my beautiful second home. I love it there...excpet when it hits 102 degrees in July!

Mike, welcome to the forum. Some of us live thousands of miles away from Virginia, but we share a common love of all things Rickenbacker. I've at least visited Virginia a couple of times! :D
