Yes it is a good selection for its well done work and amazing tone. i said why RIC do not make 4004s like other series. This bass done as I want to see. Dane thought like me:)
IN345 Joey. I use only thomastiks for my other basses too but I want to learn your comments about these strings.

I love Dane's conversion of that 4004. For me it represents the best of both worlds. :) I could do without the fifth string but I love the vintage styling and p'ups with the 4004 body and fret board.

I can't say, since I've never tried TI strings. Though there are other forum members who use them.

That looks like one of the more conventional Infeld sets (IN345). Not too shabby from what I hear. What bothers me about the majority of the true TI sets is they all seem to favor a sort of BCAA pattern of tension (A=lowest, C=highest, ordered G to E strings). Apparently this is somehow related to tradition Fender string design, but I don't understand the logic behind the design. It drives me nuts to play strings like that after I did a studio session with some TIs and ended up being really sorry I didn't stay with what I was using before. When it comes to TI JF344s versus D'Addario Chromes (or LaBella DTFs) they're totally different animals, and I think it's impossible to really compare apples to oranges. But me, I guess I likes the oranges.
