Let me know by PM or email if you want a copy. Can someone else do the same thing for some of the other songs on the list (Beatles, Byrds, Who, Kinks, Airplane, Jam, Plimsouls, etc.)?
Between Rich, Gary, and me, I think we have a lot of Beatles and Byrds. I have some Jam, Plimsouls, and a couple of Bunnymen, but no tabs-just chords and lyrics. REmind me after this weekend with a PM; I'll be done with school for the summer after this weekend.

I'm just trying to decide what to bring

Where are you other SoCal-ers staying?
Kira posted a couple of link to some nearby places, IIRC.

I'm just bringing Big Red and the Blue Boy.

Here are the studio and the possibilities for accommodations nearby. The Panama Hotel is funky-chic, typical Marin County style. The others are motels on the frontage road very close to Music Spectrum.

Dan, we'll be jamming in one room and showing guitars and socializing in the other, so the answer is both. :)

I've got racks for eighteen or so guitars. We still need tables and a few chairs, lighting, posters and banners, etc. Please let me know if you can help with these. :)

And a reminder to get in touch with Paul if you plan to have breakfast at his place before the jam. He needs to know how many to plan for. :)

BUMP. Still looking for response about the tables, decorations and lights, etc. If you can bring something to make the atmosphere more festive, please let me know!

OH, and I had someone ask about the cost of this thing. I think if everyone chips in about $15 each we can cover the expenses. If there's any overage we can spend it on snacks and drinks. :)

We will be up for the week, as my wife has to address various things with her mother, who is getting elderly. We will be staying with family in Novato, a little North of San Rafael.

The SoCal-ers should e-mail our cell phone numbers for calls and texting our whereabouts... car pooling to the Brunch, picking up some extra Waffle goodies, hauling gear to the Mini Con or retrieving any RRFer "lost" driving around the hills

I'm going to miss everybody by about 2 weeks. I am heading to San Francisco tomorrow to check on some properties and see McCartney. I'll be in DC during the confluence.

Have a great time. :(

Sadly it's gonna be tough to make this one Rich - lotsa stuff happening at HQ that week. I wish I could - this one is setting up to be a classic.

Maybe I can phone in the REM bass tracks?

RE: Pre Jam..Jam

Sorry Kira, you can tell I've been a bit flaky  in keeping up with the entire thread, but I just read your post dated July 3 about a pre-Jam at my house to work on a set list.....it would have to be on a Friday then I'd think since mostly everyone will be at Paul W's house by 10 AM if I'm correct in that? Any earlier than that on a Saturday morning and the Santa Rosa PD would be knocking on my door for disturbing the peace ( which I've encountered before in my younger days  )

If anyone wants to come up to Santa Rosa, ( about an hour north of the confluence site ) they're welcome. Just PM me and let me know. I suspect Friday afternoon would be the only feasable time, but certainly, I could welcome ten or so to my house that day. Parking might be a bit of a problem since I live on a cul de sac. But we can always work around that by car-pooling or whatever !?!

Yeah --- I'll attend a 8) Pre-Jam Jam on the Friday before !!! I'll be coming from Novato. It's always good if a few attendees can figure a few things out beforehand (like if the Bridge comes before the Chorus or vice-versa) and reacquaint oneself with some songs or chords that one has not played in many years .... or learn a few new songs.

At the very least, we can figure out if we have correct downloaded Song Sheets/Chord Charts -- as there are always the unfortunate cases of some unknown poster who tabs a song incorrectly (in the wrong key that has nothing to do with the original recording or bogus lyrics, etc.  ) and these incorrect song charts seem to haunt us forever, :x as they never disappear from these websites! :?

We always have a great time :D at all the Pre-Jam practices that I've attended. It will be a good chance to get acquainted with some of the Bay Area Forumites ahead of time, too. :D

Gary, I'll send you a PM for details...

We'd have to find him first. He might stop in town after the New Year though.

Yep; I'm bringing the waffle iron. I asked PW if he wanted me to truck it along and make some waffles to supplement the brunch and he said "bring it!"

I finished my final written assignment today; I turn it in when class starts in a few minutes, and after that it's suit and tie day Saturday for our oral arguments, and I'm done...until next month.
