RUSH Documentary... interesting gallery pic

From the RUSH documentary website (http://www.rushbeyondthelightedstage.com/). Looks to me like Geddy's got a 3001.

Not that they haven't already shot up in the last year or two--just as soon as I get interested! Maybe I'm just a fickle joiner!

I think the 3001 makes sense for Geddy--after all, he seems to really have gravitated toward his Fender Jazz. If the 3001 had a pickup closer to the bridge it might bring him back! Doubt it though... the Jazz also has a neck as tiny as a dowel rod and a lot of people dig that, probably Geddy included. At the RUSH show in St. Louis a few years ago they took a break in the middle "to rest [their] wee old hands" or something like that.

I've seen that pic before and it's awesome. I'm super stoked for the Rush documentary. Since I can't go to see it on the one night it's in the theater (this Thurs, June 10th), it's definitely going to be a day one purchase on Blu-ray for me.

That pic has been posted here before. Such an awesome shot! I'm partial because not only am I a Geddy fan, but I also have a bass identical to that one! I've been singing the praises of the 3001 for years now. The secret may be out....
I think I read somewhere that shot was actually taken at a soundcheck & there was no evidence of him actually using it live. I'm not sure how true that is, but I just thought I'd share.

And I watched the majority of the documentary last night. Simply fantastic. SO well done.....

He's still got the 4002. Definitely would be cool to hear him track it someday.

As far as I know it was only used (briefly) on Losing It on Signals.

In the July issue of Guitar Aficionado, there is a picture of Geddy playing a JG 2030(? just my guess).. it appears to be on stage, and from the archives...
there is also a wonderful RIC advert featuring beautifully flamed MG a 381V69.
