NRR, but asking for help

Post by pflash4001 »

I hope I don't step on anyone's toes here, if I have, I apologize in advance, but I am looking for help. I know this isn't Ric related, but I know some of the guys around here do a lot of woodwork and finish work. I hope someone can point me in the right direction here. Not too long ago I bought a really nice Fender Hot Rod Deluxe in a limited Sunburst finish. It really is a beautiful amp and it sounds great. I am actually looking for an extension cab for it, but I want it in the same finish. I have contacted Fender about it, and they said they don't offer it in that finish. Since I have already contacted the company and was told it wasn't available, I am now appealing to the folks here who are capable about this kind of construction/finishing, regardless of the manufacturer of the original equipment. I was wondering if you all could recommend someone to build me one to the factory dimensions AND finish it in this sunburst. Specs for the cab are on Fender's website and I have included a couple of photos of my amp. Any help would be appreciated.

Paul W. could either do it, or could maybe recommend someone who could.
Great Ramp In My Opinion.

Thanks for the insight. How do I get this thread moved over to "Reflections...?"

I'll move this to Paul's Curmudge forum. I'll leave it in the basses forum for a little while longer as well.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I have the same amp from that edition but in the other finish that was offered. Forget the finish, it's an AWESOME sounding amp with that Jensen speaker. It was the first ltd edition they made for the hot rod deluxe and I believe they made 300 in each color.

Well, anyway, of course I can duplicate this in an extension cabinet, but I'd need your amp sent me for an exact match both in construction and finish, and then the darned thing would probably cost as much as the amp itself...why not buy another amp and go Ric-O-Sound?
