I actually prefer the "R" tailpiece.....though I may mock up a trapeze to see how it looks?

Thanks Tony (and everyone). To guard the guitars with my life, I could only take them onboard the aircraft in a thick gig bag (gasp, I know!), so it came to me without a case.

collin wrote: Hmm.....not sure what I want to do yet. It has a real Rickenbacker crushed pearl inlay neck on it, so it looks amazing.....and it is Townshend-spec. On the other hand, I have an original 60's dot board, which does look mighty nice (and stock) when it's mocked up against the guitar....

I think for now, i'm just going to enjoy it as-is.
With an original Roger McGuinn signature on that baby ---- your idea of not doing anything to it, and enjoying it as-is, just makes a whole lot of sense. :) :)

Thanks guys!

I will keep it as-is. (.....maybe not the soundhole binding though).

After all, I'd hate to have to put the guitar out of comission for awhile, and...it does look great! :D

Dam, Col! What a score! :D :D

You got your holy grail. I'm extremely happy for you. :D  The mods make it an even cooler guitar, I think. What strings are on it? Planning to take Townshend's advice and put flats on it? I take it this is a keeper? You need to get a picture of your entire guitar collection.

What I love it how you never lost hope in getting a 1993. You kept saying to yourself, "It will be mine...I swear" (sic, more than likely) and you got it. Maybe I'll get a '65 360/12NS MG one day! :D (Ron O'Keefe, you listening? Time for another renting! ) Maybe a girlfriend?

What does your girlfriend think of it? From what I've gathered, your parents (at least your dad) are huge Who fans. What did your dad think of it? Getting two guitars you never dreamed of getting all from a poster in his office?

Thanks Jake!

It has a very thin set of rounds on it (they almost feel like flats!). 42-8, I think (I have it written down somewhere, i'll check). Definitely sounds Townshend as-is. :D

I'll take a good guitar collection pic one of these days when I get them all out and cleaned up.

Hello Bill!

Your appearance on this thread has been prefaced by Collin's fabulous tale, which we all found to be stellar and gripping.

Are you looking to trade or sell the OS you got from Collin?
