The Fad on A.M. Los Angeles in the 80s. 4005 in JG with F-hole-Rose Morris? Not sure if it is, and I don't know what the model number is for the RM version.
. We used to all hang out at the same club in the L.A. Garage Revival Scene in the mid-late 80s, along with the go go girls dancing in the video. Fun stuff! Mike Snow was in that scene as well, though I didn't know him then.

Interesting bass, indeed! Although they're neat and rare, I've always been disappointed in the 4005's body shape and think it's one instance where RIC went bold with a design but didn't quite hit the mark. What they should have done is make a bass with a slightly larger variation of the 330 body shape. I'd be all over THAT!
PS: that must be Switched On Audrey dancing next to the guitar player. Cool chickie, I met her at Cavestomp 2007 in NYC.

I always thought the 4005 should look hwave a 360 WB/OS style body and trim as well, but then I think pretty much every Rick should have that body style and trim. . . .

Yes, it is mine. The 4005WB was the first Rick I bought, back in '73; it is from Feb '67.

My 4001 was the first instrument I ever bought. It was even stolen back in 1998 but I got it back a few years later when it popped up in a dubious pawn shop. It's gone dead though...got to have the wiring checked sometime soon because something must be loose. No sound.
