Let us know how you moved all of your equipment.
Yeah. I'm feeling a little sorry for you right now. The weather is horrid in the Great American Desert right now. And my sister-in-law who lives outside Dallas says it's worse in Tejas.
Deb's company is having everything moved out by pro mover folks. They're loading the truck as I type this. They're even wrapping each guitar case to cut down on heat and so on.
Funny exchange with Deb just now on the phone, as she supervises the moving truck being packed:
Me: Hey, how's it going?
Deb: Good, and I have good news - the driver of the truck is the one who will be driving our stuff to TX, and he's taking extra precautions because he's a guitar collector!
Me: Oh?
Deb: Yep, he says he has 50 guitars, but no Rics yet - but he may get one now after checking yours out!
Me: That's fine, as long as it's not one of mine! (She then repeats this out loud to the driver, who's standing there.)
Anyway, I went through them all last night and dropped the tuning a step or two (might not make any difference, but it couldn't hurt), and made sure they were all stable in their cases and whatnot.
I was worried about my amps, but I picked up some road cases on the cheap, so they'll be fine.
I've never had anyone but me or immediate family move my stuff before, so that's a bit weird. So far the folks doing the job are total professionals.
