3001 truss rod cover in place of a 4001

Post by RicOSoundMan »

Was wondering if any of you friends have heard of this???????

There is/was a 74 mapleglo listed on ebay. and in the photos you can see plain as day "model 3001" I asked the seller if it was a replacement. they sweared it came from the factory like that as all is original.

I guess anything is possible in our flawed world but am just curious as if that has come across anyone else like that in buying or recieving a Ric new.

I'm not sure if the model 3001 was even available in '74 for this 4001 to have the wrong TRC accidentally installed at the factory. I thought it was more like '75 or '76 when the 3001 was introduced.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

A 74 4001 should not have a raised letter TRC. I think the change came in 75.
This is a replaced TRC.
