My favorite detail is the R tailpiece.
And what about the two holes in the middle of the body? I'm guessing Ric-o-Sound.

"A Noble Instrument Must Be Nobly Regarded"
Re: Imitation is the most sincere form of... oh never mind
Google Translate returned this:
My first reconstruction of a Rickenbacker electric bass
Fretless
Is playable, but processed very amateurish.
Is very light (body of laminated wood and hollow inside)
The neck is also made of light wood and has only marks instead of frets.
There are reared Fretless Jazz Bass strings
The strings are still well preserved.
The web segments are made of wood.
Also nice as a wall decoration.

F'ed-art works for me.... least we remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'd need some really strong glasses to make this work for me as a work of art...... maybe we should chip in and buy it as a gag gift for JH's next birthday? perhaps a small can of gas and some matches could be included?

To get any kind substitute for a Ric (although there isn't any), it might be the desperate try
of somebody (not me, my 4001 is (still) in the good hands of Paul W.), as they are hardly available over here. A usual shop price if you ask will be told about 3000$
.

Solid knotty pine neck.
Doubles as a chorus effect - always.
