Re: Ruby, Ruby, Ruby! With Binding
Hi Ron, thanks for posting pics of yours, it's a smashing looking guitar - it was the only other one I could find which was similar (I linked to your 2009 post on page 2 of this thread). I like that your sound hole is also bound (mine isn't). Are the control knobs original?stringman wrote:Did sombody say double checked bound? 360 12 wb 1980 F C HALL.Yes Im a member of the double bound club here.Congratulations beautiful ruby check bound WB.I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.Ron
Rich - thanks for the 370 wiring pic, that's good news!
Paul - I'm also still
And thanks all for the good vibes - the polishing starts today!

Re: Ruby, Ruby, Ruby! With Binding
Mark in answer to the control knob question got these oversized control knobs at radio shack I like the look of the oven knobs on ricks so these are just larger sized knobs of the original knobs that come on the 360 V 64s and the 360 C 63s. Ric also uses these knobs on other models to. If you are going to do this make shure you put the original knobs in a zip lock bag and put them in the case pouch as I did.I was wondering about the sound hole I did think all WBs had a bound sound hole.
Re: Ruby, Ruby, Ruby! With Binding
Thanks for the info Ron.
I think that a number of early '80s 12 strings didn't get the sound hole bound - not sure why. I think I prefer it with binding.

Re: Ruby, Ruby, Ruby! With Binding
Mark mine is a Aug of 1980 special order F C HALL. But I did read somewhere that for the most part most WBs had the soundhole binding.I can say that we are in a very exclusive club having checkerboard binding boath sides from the factory on a WB model. I learned from Paul A another double bound player this fourm that back in the 80s if rick had it in the factory you could order it. That is to say pickup option binding option special color option reverse color binding option etc.
