So, I've got an 8 ohm Ashdown 4x10, and a 1970s standard Marshall 4x12 rated at 16 Ohms which I would dearly love to run together, using my Ashdown ABM 500. Can it be done or will it all end in tears and a hefty repair bill?
A 16 ohm cab added (parelleled) to an 8 ohm cab is a load of 5.333 ohms (http://www.1728.com/resistrs.htm)

The Ashdown ABM500 is limited to a minimum 4 ohms (meaning 4 or 8 ohm cabs). So using that combo at 5.333 ohms should not be a worry. You will get less than the rated 575W.

Thanks so much. I'm off to hook them up and give them a blast with the 4002 I've just scored (yes, it's that Jack Secret one. Just wondering how to sneak it into the house....)
