Wow... that's a rare bird. Are the hex bolts in back used for pickup height adjustment?

Joey love that jetglow 4001 the yellowed binding really shows it off. Ok so here goes back in 1978 I ordered a fireglow 360 12 wb from sam ash. Waited about a year never saw the guitar. Placed a phone call to sam ash only to find still no word. Placed a phone call to rick got F C HALL on the phone explained my problem he asked me for me contact number said he would call me back in 15 minutes. He called me back and said he shipped the guitar to sam ash and he doesnt understand what happened to it. I was really torn up. While he was on the phone I asked him what could be done? He said we will have to make you another one. At that point I ased him if he could do something special for me considering the circumstances. He then said what do you want? I said another 360 12 WB with checkerboard binding boath sides. He then opened the door and said what elce? I asked him for the toaster option on pickups, asked him for a custum color, bound hole, he even asked me if i wanted the sound hole checked bound I was stunned. Needless to say I had to make a decision about that and I chose to bind the sound hole regular white, because the checked binding would only be a single layer and would look out of place. Asked him for the stereo wiring, kluson tunners, 24 fret neck being a WB.Well after about 6 months got the phone call from sam ash the guitar was in. Arived in silver vintage case pulled it out of the box I was stunned.Everybody checked that guitar out and congratulated me. Still have the blue warrenty card saying 360 12 WB checked bound. Well there you have it her birthday is this month AUG 1980. Lookin pretty great after 30 years. Here are some pictures some of you guys have seen these before but untill i get around to takin some new ones these will have to do.There are only a couple of WBs from the factory that have the checkbound option and Im glad mine is one of them. What a great idea for a post thanks enjoy Ron.

That is a very cool story Ron.

There have been quite a few instances quoted over the years of his attention to customer care, on an individual basis, and this is another fine example.

One always get's the feeling that quite a few here would like to see that custom shop again...
