Looking at the prices of the 360/12CW and the 660DCM (plum?) I'm a wealthy man

Ha! Just noticed that in their listings - Plum-glo sounds like a cycling affliction.

I just took a look at their website. It looks like they've changed it a bit. But still, $5000 for a 2006, special color (Plum) 75th Anniversary 330? Maybe a collector will pay that price, but I doubt your typical Ric player will. It doesn't look to me like CME has changed their prices much since I visited the place last year.

The "DCM" for the 75th Anniversary models means Dark Cherry Metallic, the name of that finish (not "Plum").

CME lists it as a plum finish. Just like they listed that the '67 330's toastertops (I mentioned the guitar in an another post) were humbuckers! I guess they don't seem to know their stuff, at least when it comes to Rics.

I'm surprised the mods haven't locked this thread yet. Not trying to come down on anyone or be the board police, but RRF rules clearly state:

"Posting shall not be created to air grievances or ask potentially compromising information with regard to other companies or parties, by name or alias be they individuals, groups or their associated websites."

I know the thread didn't start this way, but it's devolved into airing personal grievances regarding business dealings with CME and commenting on their exorbitant prices and bad customer service. This might put the RRF in a bad position, no?
“'What was that note?' I told him it was a B natural, the third of G dominant 7 going back to C minor, and I can't talk while I'm playing so don't ask me any more questions." - Ron Carter to Miles Davis

Jay: One of the posts was deleted due to the content. The thread is on the edge. It's watched closely.
