Re: Meet Ziggy
If this bass was for me I'd probably swap out all the black metal parts for chrome and leave the black plastic (pickguard and TRC) like white 4001's used to be before black trim was an option.
But I'll wait until I give it to my son and then let him decide.
That's about an extra $500 in parts, by the way.

Unless you find someone that wants to black out their chrome. Not offering, BTW.ilan wrote:That's about an extra $500 in parts, by the way.

Re: Meet Ziggy
Personally, I think it looks badass as-is - I hope your son thinks so too!

Everyone tells me what I good dad I am. Now I know I'm at a minimum second behind Ilan. Very nice
Re: Meet Ziggy
LOL c'mon, good parenting isn't measured by things like that. I had guilt feelings for not letting him play the Shadow... a good dad would
and I didn't.
I really hope he will like Ziggy, he's in the inevitable Jaco phase now and therefore uses only the Jazz bass (learning The Chicken now off of Invitation).

Unless you find a similar vintage donor Rick, swap trim, and re-sell. Then you might even make money off the deal:ilan wrote: That's about an extra $500 in parts, by the way.

I have a Jazz Bass bridge pickup you could put in the bass.ilan wrote:I really hope he will like Ziggy, he's in the inevitable Jaco phase now and therefore uses only the Jazz bass (learning The Chicken now off of Invitation).
Re: Meet Ziggy
The kid found the bass by accident and totally freaked out.
