My family have been Reds fans since way before I was born, but really before the Nats it was ANYONE who played the Yankees.....sloop_john_b wrote:So who did you guys root for before 2005?

Well, that was exactly the problem. I/we didn’t have a team to root for before 2005.
I’d go to one Oriole game a year but it wasn’t really a local team and besides, they were in the American League. My father grew up a Brooklyn Dodger fan. I grew up a Met fan. There’s no way I was going to feel any affection for an American League team.
Also, we kept hearing rumors that a team was going to come to Virginia or DC soon so I just kept waiting.
And now that we have Saint Stephen and the messiah, I feel more giddy than ever!

OK....It's not that I hate baseball, but I'll confess to being far more interested in going to MARF IV. Back on topic anyone?

Yep, I'm with you John. November is getting a little close for comfort. Spring perhaps?johneek wrote:OK....It's not that I hate baseball, but I'll confess to being far more interested in going to MARF IV. Back on topic anyone?
Re: MARF IV!!!
Has anyone discussed this with Chris? Or, will MARF IV take place someplace else? Say, at Biscuti's place? I know, we can do it at Bad Ronbo's place!

Re: MARF IV!!!
I spoke with Chris at the Ohio Guitar Show in June and he said he thought November would be a good time to do it all again.
I belive he is willing to have it at his store.

Re: MARF IV!!!
Guys, Chris and I have spoken with eachother.......
It is pretty safe to say that MARF IV will not take place in 2010.
I would say that for those who want to come to the next MARF, be thinking of a date in the Spring of 2011.
Dunno when yet, for we haven't hashed out a date-------but 2010 is a no-go.
We hope to give people a few months lead-time so it will be easier for everyone to make plans.
Stay tuned.

Re: MARF IV!!!
Well, sorry to hear that. I was looking into coming and just waiting for a date. Was thinking about a small confluence in Milwaukee for spring, so I don't want to conflict. Please keep us all informed on your plans!
