4001 C64 Pics- Anyone?

Post by Peter Lack »

I'm really keen on grabbing a Rick 4001 C64 (I know they're scarce) particularly the fireglo. So to whet this newbie's appetite, if you have one (any colour really) would you post pics of yours?

This is a C64 FG that I previously owned. Later ones have darker red in the fireglo.

Here's a shot of a 2006:

I don't think they're that hard to come by. In stores, maybe, but you've come to the right place for people who like to sell/trade within the community. I just traded an extra C64S for a C64FG. I've always though the C64S was harder to find.

And here is an ok picture of the C64 Fire Glo that Richard now has. I was going to just sell this one, but then
found he was looking for one and swapped basses with him before I had a chance to offer it here. I'll take and
post some of the one that I have kept.

These are all beautiful basses! I love the darker FG, it is rich and deep. Mine is like that, I love to just look at it. And play it too!

Those are gorgeous basses. Are you pleased with your swap deal then? Am still waiting to hit the magic number of posts to allow me entry into the Marketplace, but I'll certainly keep my eyes open for anything that fits the bill!

I am very happy with the swap. I had 2 4001C64 FG's. Had the extra for a Jingle Jangle project, but ended up getting
a better Rick for that project. Wanted a C64s as I have heard good things about them. And I really like how it plays
so far!

I thought I'd add my C64S to the mix.

Is that a custom paint job or has it been like that since it came out of the factory?

That's a custom job, though I do forget who did it for Brian. I don't think the factory would even entertain the thought of a custom job like that.

That's a close as you can get to a factory custom job. PW did it.
