Late and early vintage 4001's in the register

Is just added photos to my may '73 4001 and saw to my surprise my may ''73 4001 with full width inlays, toaster, 1/2 neck pickup spacing, wavey grovers .... is considered late vintage just like my '79 4001 which is missing all these goodies. Is this correct? As far as I know the line is somewhere in may and not in march.

Bert: Your observations are well received. We will be making refinements to the Register as we go forward with this classification system which is still in its infancy.
