A bolt on bass neck combined with a 480 guitar.. not my thing, but it sure does look good, and the opening bid is fair too.

$3950 with a day and a half to go ...

I know I sat in the back of a small car with one in it's case sitting on my lap. If you had looked in the car, you might not have noticed I was there. :)

And it looks like it may only be the same two Bidders going back and forth ...the last couple of days.
Maybe a Dive Bomber will try sneaking in, for the kill, at the end of the auction ?

I like it. But I don't have a need for it.

Nice! I used to have a MapleGlo 4080 and a white 4080, so I've been watching this auction closely. I think I paid around $700 for each of them 18 years ago, and sold them for about what I paid for them. The MapleGlo was a beauty, and was in near-perfect condition, while the white one had some fairly heavy finish checking and a bad case of "rubber band neck" on the bass neck - a result of too many improper truss rod adjustments by previous owners. And yes, they are some very heavy beasties.

Now, as I sit staring at the auction screen, contemplating spending more than 6 times what I paid for my last one, I feel the need to beat my head against the wall for having sold my 4080s all those years ago...
