Re: Before and After
Wow Craig. That's quite a transformation.

Wow, too bad. I really liked what that guitar had going for it. The tortoise shell accents and binding, maple glow, gold hardware. This this really was a period piece. Who moded it out originally? Was it factory? Cause if it was, wow.

Re: Before and After
Originally it was a plain white 330 that had aged into a splotchy yellow. Larry and I decided to make it double bound tortoise shell with cream purfling, all gold hardware, fretboard inlays, open backed waverlys, tortoise pick guard with cream binding and custom knobs. It looks better in person.

Ah, ok. I though it was the other way around. I'm usually not huge into rick modifications but this is a rare instance, for me, that everything kinda works. I like it.wittyair wrote:Originally it was a plain white 330 that had aged into a splotchy yellow. It's none of my business, but what would a modification on this scale coast you?
Re: Before and After
Craig, how did you manage to golden the accent and the toaster covers, was it done by a special galvanisation customwise ?wittyair wrote:..... all gold hardware, -----
Looks cool !

I like the birds. Nice touch, kind of PRS like.

Malchik.......it costs in the teens somewhere.....it all depends on what you want and what you have.

What a great transformation!
That horrific mapleglo with the weird gold hardware... the new white finish is much better
Just kidding
When you upload images the order is REVERSED. The first one you upload is the one at the bottom.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

BTW, one can edit the order of the pictures in the post itself (during the initial posting or the time in which the post can be edited) by selecting the bracketed text and then either copying or dragging it to the desired location in the message.

I live in Georgia. It looks like I should take my guitars to Larry when I need work done. Your after photos look great.

Re: Before and After
I saw this guitar while Larry was working on it. He only lives about six miles from me, and has quite a shop.
