Accent Vibrato Arm
So on more than one occassion I have poked myself with that sharp tip of the Accent vibrato arm. Has anyone else had this problem or has anyone put a type of "tip" on the arm?

You and Townsend!
I think in the Bacon Day book there is a pic of one with a tip on one. Maybe a switch tip ("bat") ? Or maybe swing by a local orthodontist and get some of that braces wax??? Just a wild idea. If all else fails, duct or gaffer's tape.

Re: Accent Vibrato Arm
I am not sure why the tip on the modern Accent vibrato arm is so sharp, because the vintage Accent arm has a much more rounded tip. I have an Accent on all five of my Rick six strings, but I have not experienced this problem (knock on wood.
), thank goodness. Other Accent users have expressed concern over the possibility of jabbing their arm, but I think you're the first forumite who's admited to actually experiencing it, IIRC. I imagine others have either suffered in silence, or else acted preemptively wrt using the switch tip or other fix.
I've seen Fender vibrato arm tips on more than one Accent, which ought to work great as a solution. The aforementioned switch tip should work great as well. IIRC there's a third, effective and aesthetically pleasing tip cover solution, but it escapes my memory at the moment.

Do you just mean the standard plastic piece on the tip of a Stratocaster tremelo arm?
