I think we've seen this before. Perhaps when it was on eBay or Craigslist? Someone pointed us to it. Uhh . . . "interesting."

I think this is the bass that got a lot of use in Nashville or Branson, IIRC. I bet you got it for a good price.

Cool paint job (Sharpie?), I like it a lot. Congrats!
BTW it's not exactly BT, those started in the 80's and had black hardware and black neck binding.

actually, it is painted and clearcoated so it will not come off.
BT in the 70's consisted of black plastic and binding as I recall....80's BT had black metal pieces also..and the neck binding...

actually, I paid a nice price for it. It is set up really well and the PO had everything cleaned up (he owned it for the last 20-25 yrs or so) and came with OHSC and everything....it is pretty lightweight also...less than 9 according to the scale...lighter than my 79 BG....

But don't forget the black trim Autumnglos from '76 or so - black plastic but white body and neck binding and chrome parts...jaymi wrote:ilan wrote:Cool paint job (Sharpie?), I like it a lot. Congrats!

yep, I have seen BG with BT also...I think everything in the 70's had the BT option and then of course it was changed in the 80's to include binding and metal parts...I like them all!!!!
