Ric Outlet WHITE 4003!
OMG this is the one. It's beyond perfect. Bright pearlescent white (hopefully non-yellowing), half-inch neck pickup spacing, 70's style pickguard with sharp corners and no hump...

This gets more entertaining....all of the things we have all talked about and were told that "it would not happen again" are showing up in one-offs...WHT/BT...7 screw bridge...nice....front pickup is crooked. That would be a cool production model also but alas.....

I think it's just the glare of light around the pickup that makes it appear that way.jaymi wrote:front pickup is crooked.

Ben has mentioned this is the new/current UV cured finish so it is non-yellowing.ilan wrote:Bright pearlescent white (hopefully non-yellowing)

That is one classy rock'n'roll machine!
I find it really encouraging to see RIC experimenting and testing the waters with some tasty variations on the standard. If they did something much like this in an S model (no body binding, dot inlays, dare I hope for a horseshoe?) I think I would have to raid the savings account....

White is a nightmare to do. It would only be done in very limited quantities.

If demand exceeded capacity, we could club the interest out of each other until they matched.RIC_FACTORY wrote:White is a nightmare to do. It would only be done in very limited quantities.
On a related note, just to let everyone know how big a forum geek I am, after reading the latest posts on this topic last night, er earlier this morning, I went to sleep and dreamt a bunch of us were either at SCARF or NAMM and chatting away about how much we liked the Pearl White bass. Where does that put me on the forum geek scale?
