Is this Gibson Real?

Post by Danotron »

If this is not an appropriate topic for this forum, please feel free to delete it.

I know we just added a new area under the Marketplace section to help educate our members on Rickenbacker copies and how to spot them, but as musicians and a community, I think we should be aware of any guitar being advertised as an original if it is not.

Does this SG look right to you?

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

So is this illegal, like a copy of a Rickenbacker, or just a misrepresentation because Gibson (and Fender, etc.) did not diligently defend their patents over the years like RIC has?
